You told me you would come back,
why did you have to go away?
i waited for hours,
hours turned into days,
days turned into weeks,
weeks turned into years,i never saw my mom,
she never saw my tears and laughter,
she never got to kiss me goodnight,
i never felt her warm embrace.
Now am sixteen,
who will teach me how to cook?
who will scold me,if i don't do the dishes?
soon i will graduate from secondary school,
who will attend my graduation?
who will call me daughter?
did i do something wrong?
at times i wish i was dead,
i wish i had a complete family,
cause i am slowly dying in my lonely world.
my dad dosen't have time for me,
the comfort of my friends cannot fill my empty heart.
Why did you have to leave?
why did my parents have to divorce?
and why did i have to lose my mom?
